As the #1 aerospace and defense company in the Republic of Korea, Hanwha provides a myriad tailored solutions for customers and partners around the world. In April 2018, Hanwha established an office in Crystal City (Arlington, VA) that is focused on developing and enriching partnerships while looking for new, mutually benefiting business opportunities.
Hanwha’s aerospace and defense affiliates work in an intertwined and collaborative manner to maximize their capabilities and to create added value for customers. Our business domains are divided into four major areas.
Our aerospace business comprises licensed manufacturing of aircraft engines for US OEMs, supplying actuators, hydraulic systems, propulsion systems and energetics for space launch vehicles and satellites, and providing quality MRO services.
The strategic reality of the Korean Peninsula requires advanced land systems, and Hanwha’s large product portfolio includes self-propelled howitzers, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, assault amphibious vehicles, medium tank, and maneuver short range air defense systems.
Hanwha is also an experienced manufacturer and integrator of missiles, rockets, firepower, laser weapon systems, underwater systems, vertical launch systems, and torpedo firing systems.
Our capabilities extend further to include C4ISR solutions and electronics across military services, as we build C4I, tactical communication systems, SATCOM, naval combat systems, a variety of radar & EO/IR sensors, EW systems, avionics, SONAR, and navigation systems.
Hanwha Group is the 8th largest conglomerate in Korea with 59 domestic affiliates and 264 global networks encompassing multiple sectors including manufacturing, construction, financial services, and leisure. Through our core values of trust and loyalty, and our competencies in the areas of defense, chemicals, advanced materials, mechatronics, aerospace, and solar energy, we are committed to creating value for our customers and partners.
