For more than 70 years, Kaman Precision Products, a division of Kaman Aerospace Corporation, has been a leader in the development and manufacture of safing and arming solutions for the ordnance and other industries. We offer a wide range of services, from research and development to full-scale production, for safe/arm devices, fuzes, motor igniters, flight termination devices, MEMS, sensors and related equipment. Kaman Aerospace fuzing systems can be found on many of the U.S. military's missile and bomb systems such as the Tomahawk and Harpoon Cruise missiles, AMRAAM and STANDARD Missiles.
Kaman Precision Products is the technology leader in supplying the Joint Programmable Fuze (FMU-152A/B) that is used in the MK 80 series bombs, BLU-109, BLU-113, BLU-117, BLU-122 & other penetrators and in conjunction with JDAM and Paveway weapon kits. The JPF is cleared for carriage on the Mirage 3, F-15, F-16, F-18, F22, F-111, B-1, B-2, B-52 and the UAV MQ-9. It is under review for the F-35, Tornado and Typhoon aircraft.
With facilities in Middletown, Connecticut, Orlando, Florida and Tucson, Arizona, Kaman Precision Products capabilities also include the design, development, test and manufacture of high-precision industrial-grade non-tactile measuring equipment, electro-optic sensing and recognition systems and military ruggedized memory systems. The Orlando facility's 80 acre year round test range facility is equipped with projectile velocity measurement equipment, projectile impact media, high-speed photographic equipment and lighting for night firing and tests.
Kaman Aerospace Corporations other divisions provide aircraft-grade composite and metal structural components, state-of-the-art specialty bearings and aircraft subassembly and assembly splicing. Kaman Aerospace Corporation is the OEM and MOR for the SH-2 Seasprite and K-Max utility lift helicopters.
